Chase drinks, chase dreams

I know I’ve been saying this a lot, but god I love my boyfriend. I am so damn proud of him. He’s survived two tours of duty and he’s about to make Cpl. Some military S/Os I was talking to earlier were pretty much wearing their man’s ranks. Drove me insane. Oooh big deal… Your man is a Petty Officer, Sergeant, or a Lieutenant… Who cares? Yeah, he’s worked hard to make rank. I’ll give him that, but the fact that they were putting me down because their men outrank mine makes me want to cut a bitch. Wear his ring, not his rank and I will fuckin wear my “I love my Marine” name tape bracelet with pride, because I am proud of my man, even if he is just a Lcpl. It would be that exact same thing if he were still going by “Private.” The next person I talk to who decides to brag about being with someone of high rank, well let’s just hope they have a damn good dentist. End of rant.
